Citizen Journalism and Active Citizenship

This chapter explores the relationship between the various theories and practices associated with the concepts of ‘active citizenship’ and ‘citizen journalism’. Citizen journalism, in particular, has become an increasingly prominent feature of news coverage of popular protest, social movements and political activism in general.
