Failed nostoi and foundations: Kalchas at Kolophon

This chapter takes a single well-documented example of a faulty nostos. It concentrates on the famous Homeric seer Kalchas who ended up buried at Ionian Kolophon and explains its Hellenistic manifestation in terms of Roman encroachment on the Greek East.
