This paper presents preliminary results from an on-going study of Late Bronze Age to early Iron Age pottery fabrics from recent excavations at the Xeropolis settlement site at Lefkandi. It illustrates that character and range of fabrics as seen in hand specimen and compares these with fabrics of EH III - MH II pottery from Xeropolis, with the regional geology of Lefkandi and descriptions of clay from Vasiliko that was used widely in the region by potters and brick and tile makers.
