Museum of London Reimagining the Restoration: Teacher Focus Group Evaluation Report
This is a report by an external evaluator on two focus groups held to aid the creation of teaching materials on the Great Fire of London and on seventeenth-century Deaf history for primary schools. The report summarizes the views and suggestions from teachers.
Events were held for primary school teachers and for Teachers of the Deaf. Participants were asked for their views on existing Museum of London provision on the Great Fire, covering online resources and a recording of a live-stream used with Key Stage 1 groups (6-7 year olds). They were also asked to comment how the accessability of this and future material might be improved for children with additional needs. They were then invited to review proposals for new materials for websites run by the Museum and, in the case of the Teachers of the Deaf focus group, to comment on ideas for workshops with Deaf children.
The report was comissioned by the PI and project's learning manager.
