Supplementary files for: Resilient, biodiverse forests in an Anthropocene landscape
These datasets are supplementary documents for the PhD thesis, 'Resilient, biodiverse forests in an Anthropocene landscape' by Hannah Sellers. This thesis aims to apply a spatiotemporal framework to examine resilient, biodiverse woodlands in lowland Britain, using the heavily human-modified landscape of Leicestershire and Rutland as a case study. An interdisciplinary approach – incorporating palaeoecological, historical, environmental and contemporary ecological datasets – is used to investigate resilient woodland ecosystems in a time of Anthropocene environmental change.
The datasets provided here include: SD3.1, a list of woodland-related place-name elements used in the study; SD3.2, the raw pollen counts from two sediment cores (Narborough Bog NB2 and Allerton Fishpond AL1); and SD4.1, vascular plant survey results taken from three Leicestershire and Rutland woodlands in May 2023 and August 2024.
