<p>This guide is designed to help teachers introduce Samuel Pepys and his diary to primary school children. It contains: answers to common questions from learners; information on Pepys's shorthand; background for the 'How did Samuel Pepys write his diary?' activity sheet; and large images of  Pepys's diary.</p> <p><br></p> <p>The guide was created by Kate Loveman and James Harrod for the Reimagining the Restoration project. It includes Loveman's new research on Pepys's shorthand. It is part of a set of teaching resources on the Great Fire first published on the Museum of London's website in 2023.</p> <p><br></p>
