This interview is an acknowledgment of Essie Maasoumi’s service as editor of Econometric Reviews for 37 years (1987–2024). Essie transformed the journal from a review journal publishing invited reviews with comments by reviewers and debates, to a regular journal, considered one of the top five core journals in econometrics.
