Excavation and Survey at Porlock stone circle and row, Exmoor

posted on 2015-05-19, 11:21 authored by Mark GillingsDuring 2013 a programme of fieldwork was carried out in and around the Porlock stone circle (ENPHER MSO7898); the first excavations at the site since Harold St. George Gray’s sondages of the late 1920s. The present paper discusses the results of this work and the implications they have for management and research.
