With their focus on mourning, amnesia and counter-hegemony on shifting
terrain in Britain, Gargi Bhattacharyya and Kim Allen have addressed the
spirit of our book and added their own. Nicole Grégoire and Alexandra
Kelbert offer us a different perspective informed by a long history of Afrofeminist
activism on the European continent. We take this opportunity to express
our heartfelt thanks and also to go further, collectively, in reflecting on the
task behind us – as much as any piece of writing can be – and that which
lies ahead. To do this we ask three questions.
