<p dir="ltr">he Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 has provided a framework of criminal liability relating to workplace health and safety<br>for 50 years. These offences are highly significant, but are also distinctive in their form and scope, departing from many of the<br>norms of criminal liability. The article assesses and explores the nature and purpose of these distinctive features.</p>
