W(H)ITHER THE PEASANTRY IN THE WORK OF THE ACADEMY?

This Guidepost argues that the academic study of Business and Management has totally ignored those humans which may represent well over 2 billion people on the planet - the peasantry. The ‘death of the peasant’ has long been foretold by writers on both the political Left and Right but this has yet to occur, with important consequences for our academy’s relevance and reach.
