This is Video 2 to be deposited with the Doctoral Thesis for Charlie J. Hitchman. The doctoral work carried out was funded by the IMPACT doctoral training programme and the Medical Research Council.
The video shows a data collection where a cell sample is illuminated using a laser and shows the fluorescently labelled proteins photobleaching over time. The video illustrates the data collection process by which once analysed the specific separation distances between the fluorophores in the samples can be identified. This is part of the process of a novel single molecule fluorescence method called fluorophore localisation imaging with photobleaching or FLImP.
