Who was Samuel Pepys? (animation; learning resource for primary schools, Key Stage 1: Great Fire of London)

<p>This video for primary schools  shows the life of Samuel Pepys and introduces his diary of the 1660s. It features scenes from the Great Fire of London.</p> <p>It is part of set of resources on the Great Fire of London, designed for teaching Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum for England. The video is available in subtitled and BSL-interpreted versions. A transcript is also included.</p> <p><br></p> <p>The video was created by the Reimagining the Restoration project, in a collaboration between the University of Leicester and the Museum of London. It was first published on the Museum of London's website in 2023.</p> <p><br></p> <p>The project's Principal Investigator, Kate Loveman carried out research for the video, and wrote the script with the project's Learning Manager at the Museum, James Harrod.</p> <p>The animation studio was King Bee.</p>
