This publication reports and reflects on
Rethinking Disability Representation, a large scale,
experimental project which developed new approaches to
the interpretation of disability-related themes and narratives
and to the representation of disabled people’s lives within
museums and galleries.
Funding
We are very grateful to the Heritage Lottery Fund and the
National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts
for their financial support of Rethinking Disability
Representation.
Additional funding and in-kind support for the project were
also provided by the University of Leicester and the nine
partner museums.
