Volunteering has become an important social phenomenon and a research topic, given its important contribution to the social development of any society, and also because it is situated in a unique position that interact with different players and stakeholders on local, regional, and international levels. That is why it is described by Kemp (2002, p. 109) as the ‘hidden workforce’, or as the third largest community in the world ‘volunteerland’ by Douglas (2014). Volunteering's importance comes from its ability to influence people from all walks of life on a deeper level which leaves a lasting impact on the whole society and its social interaction with itself and with the world around it.
