Data underpinning the artice for:  

Personal air pollution exposure during morning commute car and active transport journeys

The data files here contain the data that underpins results including all tables and figures, and conclusion have been drawn from these.

A publicly available data file includes all information with the exception of geolocational data. An embargoed file includes coordinate infromation.

The data files show concentrations of pollutants NO2, O3 and PM2.5 measured using Earthsense zephyrs during morning commutes by walking, cycling or driginv along four routes. pollutant concentrations were averaged to 1- minute time resolution and averaged per trip ("Commuter pollutant concentrations by route min averaged.csv" and "Commuter pollutant dosage calculations by route.csv"). 

Metorological data from the University of Leicester AURN station during the field campaign was downloaded from, https://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/data/data_selector. This data is included within a file that has been merged with the trip averaged pollution concentration data ("AURN met and commuter pollutant conc merge.csv")

One file is included with pollutant concentrations measured at the AURN station merged with pollutant concentrations measured during commuter trips ("aurn_conc_summary_2021_07_02.csv"). 

The dosage of pollutants that the commuter is estimated to have been exposed to was calculated for the paper, this data file is included ("Commuter pollutant dosage calculations by route.csv").

Finally, the ratios of pollutant concentrations measured during driving commutes to active commutes for each route the experiments were calculated and included within the paper. These calculations are contained in three files, (one file for each pollutant) ("Ratios of NO2 concentrations during commutes trip averages.csv", "Ratios of O3 concentrations during commutes trip averages.csv" and "Ratios of PM2.5 concentrations during commutes trip averages.csv").
