Optical spectra of 2MASX J02301709+2836050; the host of Swift J0230

Posted on 2023-02-24 - 09:37 authored by Phil Evans

This collection contains the spectral data obtained with the Nordic Optical Telscope, for the paper "Recurring X-ray eruptions from a galaxy nucleus: a candidate repeating stellar disruption around a supermassive black hole" published (TBD) in Nature Astronomy (Evans et al., 2023; TDB.... DOI: TDB).

These are spectra of the transient's host galaxy, 2MASX J02301709+2836050, and were used both to measure the galaxy redshift, and also various line ratios which allowed it to be placed in the BPT diagram in the above paper.
